Palm Desert Concerts in the Park
October 14, 2021 @ 6:00 pm - 7:30 pm
An event every week that begins at 6:00 pm on Thursday, repeating until October 28, 2021
A popular event with residents and tourists alike for more than a quarter century, Palm Desert’s free Concerts in the Park series is scheduled to return in October following a pandemic-related break. Held every Thursday in October from 6 – 7:30 p.m. at the Palm Desert Civic Center Park amphitheater, the concerts offer a delightful evening of music by some of the top acts from across the region. Here’s this season’s line-up:
Beach St. A GoGo offers up a mix of tunes in tribute to all the groovy sounds of the 60s, so expect to hear a bit of The Beach Boys and The Beatles plus Motown and even a few one-hit wonders
Avenida Music plays their unique takes on classic rock, Spanish pop and Top 40
Cash, Killer and The King take to the stage with a red-hot rock ‘n’ roll tribute to the Sun Records era music of Johnny Cash, Jerry Lee Lewis and Elvis Presley
New Sensations wraps up the season and plays it all from rock and pop to funk, soul, Motown, and more.
While the music is the main draw, make an evening out of it by enjoying your dinner in the park, too. Food trucks will be parked on-site each week offering a variety of culinary treats. Concertgoers are also encouraged to bring picnic baskets along with blankets or lawn chairs to enjoy the shows. Alcoholic beverages and smoking are prohibited at Civic Center Park, however.
Palm Desert Civic Center Park is located on the northeast corner of San Pablo Avenue and Fred Waring Drive. For more information on attending the Concert in the Park series, call Palm Desert Visitor Services at 760-568-1441.
