During this unprecedented time the YMCA has created the VIRTUAL “Y Be Fit PD Challenge” in partnership with the City of Palm Desert. Please join the Family YMCA of the Desert in this year's VIRTUAL event to help continue programming supporting the children and families of the Coachella Valley.  Starting October 4th,  you will have 20 days to cover 20 miles in however many runs, walks, cycles or swims you like; wherever you like and whenever you like!

The Palm Desert Public Art Documentary Film Series continues its season with an online discussion of Jean-Michel Basquiat: The Radiant Child. In his short career, Jean-Michel Basquiat was a phenomenon. He became notorious for his graffiti art under the moniker Samo in the late 1970s on the Lower East Side scene, sold his first painting to Deborah Harry for $200, and became best friends with Andy Warhol.
