The Palm Desert Greek Festival returns again for its 29th anniversary! The festival is an amazing community celebration of culture, including traditional folk dancing, a tour of their church, live Greek music, and so much more. The heart of the festival, by a large margin is the Greek food and pastries created from generational family recipes.
Authentic Greek Cuisine is one-hundred percent the highlight of the festival with so many different greek foods available to try. From baklava, coffee, lamb chops, gyros, and even soulvaki, everyone that particpates will be spoiled for choice when it comes to deciding on what to eat. However, with it being a cashless event, no one has to worry about deciding whether to pay with cash or card.
Just because the food is the main highlight of the festival does not mean everything else falls by the wayside. In fact, the food helps highlight the other activities such as their live music throughout the festival. They will have Master DJ Peter Loukatos and the Takis Kokotas Greek Bouzouki Band. With music going on all day, there is definitely dancing so make sure to check out the Greek Youth Folk Dancer and the Celebrity Dancer, Dimitri!
The Palm Desert Greek Festival will be located at the Saint George Greek Orthodox Church at 74109 Larrea Street here in Palm Desert on February 21 and 22 from 10am to 8pm and admission will be $5, with free entry for children, first responders, and active-duty military. Come be Greek for a day!
