Locals and visitors alike were thrilled for the return of the original Palm Desert Certified Farmers’ Market for the 2022-2023 season, and its announcement of an exciting change. The market, which has been held on Wednesdays for the past thirteen years, is now held every Sunday from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m.

The Certified Farmers’ Market is located at the Entrada del Paseo, in front of the Palm Desert Area Chamber of Commerce at 72559 Highway 111. The market is a program of the Palm Springs Cultural Center, a 501c3 non-profit organization dedicated to bringing arts and cultural programming to the entire Coachella Valley.

Now with the move to Sundays, the Palm Springs Cultural Center hopes to extend its reach to provide even more access to fresh, farm-direct produce to community members and visitors. Customers of the Palm Desert Certified Farmers’ Market may use their EBT card to shop the market.

Customers can expect to see their longtime favorite farms and vendors, along with brand new faces like Blossom Nursery, selling locally grown cut flowers, and Branch and Vine, producers of olive oil and balsamic vinegar. Fun family-friendly activities are also planned throughout the season.

“We are proud to be approaching our fourteenth year as part of the Palm Desert community and are so grateful for its continued support,” said Executive Director Michael Green. “We invite everyone to come out and enjoy the best quality produce our region has to offer.”
