Don’t miss the 22nd Annual Palm Desert Choreography Festival, a signature event and celebration of dance unique to our city, at McCallum Theatre on November 9th and 10th. Vying for $17,000 in awards, choreographers from across the nation – New York, Texas, North Carolina, San Francisco, Los Angeles – will travel to Palm Desert with their companies and present their work before an audience and panel of judges. Winners will be announced on stage at the end of the performances.
If you are even remotely interested dance or a dance enthusiast, this is an event for you. On Saturday evening at 7 p.m., engage with the work of 11 pieces of choreography performed by professional dancers and meet hip-hop choreographer and artistic director, Rennie Harris as he receives a Lifetime Achievement Award for his contribution to dance.
