The Palm Desert Visitor Center has a new home! The new Discover Palm Desert Visitor Center has moved from its former location at City Hall to the lobby of the Palm Desert Library, featuring expanded hours, as well as enhanced amenities and services.

“Moving to the Library provides exciting new opportunities for the Discover Palm Desert Visitor Center,” said Visitor Services representative Francisco Lopez. “Not only will it increase accessibility for tourists and residents alike, but we’ll also have the ability to offer additional services that our visitors have been requesting.”

The Discover Palm Desert Visitor Center’s prominent location just inside the front doors of the Palm Desert Library will provide easy access for visitors and will be open during all regular Library hours, which means services will now be available seven days a week. In addition to providing information on local attractions, restaurants, accommodations and businesses, the newly expanded footprint of the Discover Palm Desert Visitor Center will eventually allow for an exciting new addition: Palm Desert themed merchandise for sale.

“One of the most asked questions we get at the Visitor Center is where to purchase Palm Desert shirts, bags and souvenirs,” said Lopez. “We’re thrilled to be able to respond to those frequent requests by offering items that will make your visit to Palm Desert that much more memorable.”

The new Discover Palm Desert Visitor Center is located at 73300 Fred Waring, Dr., Palm Desert, CA, 92260. For more information, visit: PalmDesert.gov/visitors/visitor-services.
