Palm Springs Art Museum is proud to partner with the 8th Annual Official Latino Film Festival, the first to focus primarily on U.S. Latino and Latina filmmakers.
The three-day hybrid festival will occur both online and in the museum’s 430-seat Annenberg Theater.
Over 100 films will be screened alongside industry and filmmaker panels. There will also be workshops, music performances, and mixers for networking. The weekend will culminate in an awards presentation in the theater.
This year, the festival is incorporating an international component by also showcasing films from Latin America and the Caribbean.
Latinx filmmaker Danny Hastings created the festival in 2015, in response to the lack of Latinx representation in Hollywood films and TV shows. The festival’s mission is to showcase, nurture, and support the emerging creative Latinx filmmakers who produce, direct and/or write their films in the United States.
Most of the films will be presented in English.
