Dame Joan Henrietta Collins is an English actress, best-selling author, accomplished producer and columnist. She made her stage debut at the age of nine, trained at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Arts (RADA) in London entered British films in 1951. She then went under contract to 20th Century Fox in 1955 and appeared in such films as “Land of the Pharoahs,” “The Girl in the Red Velvet Swing” “Rally Round the Flag, Boys” with Paul Newman and Joanne Woodward and “The Virgin Queen” with Bette Davis. In 1980 she landed the role of Alexis Carrington, the vengeful and scheming ex-wife of John Forsythe’s character in Dynasty, which made her an International superstar and brought her a Golden Globe award for best actress in 1982. In 2015 she was made a Dame by Queen Elizabeth II for her services to charity.
She will discuss her amazing life and career and share some fascinating backstage stories from her many years in Hollywood.
