The 5th Annual Taste of Jalisco celebrates the sister city relationship between Cathedral City and Tequila, Jalisco (Mexico) through music, fashion, spirits, culture and cuisine. Activities include live musical and dance entertainment, Mexican-inspired food, tequila tasting, classic car show, kid zone, outdoor market and a grand finale fireworks show.
The Living Desert is proud to host the only royal event welcoming both princesses and superheroes. Guests of all ages are encouraged to dress as your favorite fairy tale or fantasy character and enjoy entertainment, arts and crafts, games, food and drink specials and more. When the clock strikes noon, the Toad-ally Royal Tea Party begins.
The Dr. George Charity Car Show is the main fundraising event of the Palm Springs Cruisin’ Association, an all-volunteer non-profit organization whose purpose is to promote camaraderie among car enthusiasts. The event is open to Street Rods, Classics, Muscle Cars, Special Interest Cars, Trucks, and Motorcycles, and benefits the Desert Cancer Foundation. Held on the grass at the Indian Wells Tennis Garden, it's a great setting to enjoy the cars, visit vendors, experience the entertainment and grab a bite to eat.
El Paseo swings into full gear on the first Saturday of February at the Swing ‘N Hops Street Party. This free, featured event of Palm Desert First Weekend will have people dancing in the street--quite literally--to the tunes of the Swing Cats Big Band on a specially set up dance floor.
Peter White, undoubtedly one of the most popular figures in smooth jazz, returns to Grooves at the Westin. Over the years, Peter White has maintained a reputation as one of the most versatile and prolific acoustic guitarists on the contemporary jazz landscape.
“Rock the Dock” features original artists in concert playing some of the most iconic hits from one of rock’s greatest eras. Ambrosia, Al Stewart, Gary Wright and Peter Beckett (The Voice of Player) will come together for a magical night performing all of their 1970’s and 80’s Billboard Top 40 Hits.
