SUNDAY SOUNDS Come and join the Palm Desert Library and Desert Recreation District as we bring you artists from your very own backyard, the Coachella Valley.
The Coachella Valley Symphony will perform selections from the stage and screen including West Side Story by Leonard Bernstein, a medley from the musical Chicago, and music from The Pink Panther, Peter Gunn, and Summer of 42.
The Jazz at Lincoln Center Orchestra with Wynton Marsalis (JLCO) comprises 15 of the finest jazz soloists and ensemble players today. Led by Wynton Marsalis, this remarkably versatile orchestra performs a vast repertoire ranging from original compositions and Jazz at Lincoln Center-commissioned works to rare historic compositions and masterworks by jazz legends.
Rae Wynn-Grant, a scientist with National Geographic Society’s Last Wild Places Initiative, works in the expansive American Prairie Reserve to protect and restore iconic wildlife populations, including North America black and grizzly bears, in a region once known for its great number of wild animals.
Now one of the longest running one-man shows in history, "My Mother’s Italian, My Father’s Jewish, and I’m Still in Therapy," is an evening of hysterical comedy featuring the voices of almost 30 characters, all played by Steve Solomon. A master dialectician and comedy veteran, Steve captures the voice and personality of his family members so well, you’ll think they’re on stage with him.
Yasmina Reza, playwright of "Art," delivers a witty and acerbic look at one man’s ability to analyze and map the outermost reaches of the universe with his total inability to respond rationally to the most trivial domestic mishap, and examines how the slightest random event can effortlessly derail the most elaborately laid plan.
The Desert Circuit established its roots in Indio, California, in the mid-1990s, and in 2007 the shows moved to what is now known as the Desert International Horse Park in Thermal. The Desert Circuit draws thousands of equestrians to the premier Southern California show grounds for eight weeks of USEF Premier-rated Hunters and 5*/6* Jumpers.

Palm Springs Legends features the best tribute artists honoring the most famous stars of the Desert, plus the Legends Orchestra.
Enjoy an evening of storytelling and song with country music recording artist Kasey Lansdale and on-air personality Alexander Rodriguez as they celebrate the lesser-known music from Bette Midler’s extensive career, including songs from The Rose, For the Boys, Beaches, and more…all with their unique spin and vocal blend.
