The Waring International Piano Competition is held every other year. All pianists compete in the solo category, and may also compete in the concerto category. The three concerto finalists take to the stage at the McCallum Theatre where they are accompanied by a full orchestra.

High school art instructors worked with the Artists Council over the past school year to submit their students' artwork from a total of 12 area high schools representing all three unified school districts of the Coachella Valley. To complement the Young Artists Exhibition, the Artists Council is hosting a Community Sunday family art-activity day on Sunday, April 24, from 1-4 pm.
