Steve Young, star of the acclaimed documentary Bathtubs Over Broadway, pulls back the curtain on one of the strangest, most improbable realms of show business: musicals written for corporate events. Steve, a longtime writer for David Letterman, accidentally discovered the hidden world of Broadway-style shows created for sales meetings and conventions from the 50’s to the 80’s. Now he’s coming to the McCallum to share a cornucopia of unlikely gems.

Grupo Bronco is a Mexican Grupero group from Apodaca, Monterrey. Bronco’s modern take on the Norteño style in the ’80s and ’90s helped earn them a number of international hits. Band members José Guadalupe Esparza, Ramiro Delgado, Javier Villareal, and José Luís ‘Choche’ Villareal crafted a sound that paid tribute to the Norteño tradition while incorporating modern instruments like keyboards, as well as a more melodic, pop style with elaborate costumes.
The annual Dr. George Charity Car Show is one of the preeminent car shows in the Coachella Valley. On display are cars, trucks and motorcycles from all over the country. It is held at the Indian Wells Tennis Garden on the grass in the sun. All proceeds benefit the Desert Cancer Foundation.
