Palm Desert’s Civic Center Park Amphitheater is once again the hot spot for live music in May with the return of the City’s Spring Concerts in the Park.

On stage from 7:00 to 8:30 p.m. every Thursday in May, Palm Desert’s Spring Concerts will feature a diverse range of talented performers designed to please music lovers of all ages and tastes. The excitement kicks off at the amphitheater on Thursday, May 4, with a performance by Upstream, a beloved Caribbean music group known for their infectious beats and positive message. With a talented lineup of musicians delivering reggae and calypso, Upstream is sure to get the crowd moving and grooving.

The concert series continues on May 11 with We Belong– a tribute to Pat Benatar and Neil Giraldo. You can expect top-notch entertainment thanks to the amazing, true-to-life sound developed by this award-winning band.

On May 18, AMFM, a top L.A. party band, takes to the amphitheater stage. This group of talented musicians really knows how to put on a show, and you’ll hear everything from favorite jazz standards to the Top 40.

The season will wrap up on May 25 with return performance by Yachty by Nature, playing your favorite “groovy soft yacht rock tunes” from the late 70s and early 80s. Expect to hear songs from artists like Michael McDonald, Hall and Oates, Boz Scaggs, Steely Dan, Toto, Christopher Cross, and more.

Every concert in the series will be signed by a certified American Sign Language interpreter. Guests who might benefit from that service are welcome to sit near the east side of the stage for the best viewing.

In addition to the great music, concertgoers can enjoy the delicious culinary creations offered by a variety of food trucks parked by the amphitheater or bring their own picnic baskets along with their blankets or lawn chairs to enjoy the shows. Alcoholic beverages and smoking are prohibited at Civic Center Park.

The City extends its thanks to the Desert Recreation District and the Palm Desert Citizens on Patrol volunteers for their support of this year’s Spring Concert Series.

Palm Desert Civic Center Park is located on the northeast corner of San Pablo Avenue and Fred Waring Drive. For more information on attending the Concert in the Park series, call Palm Desert Visitor Services at 760-568-1441.
