Palm Desert’s Concerts in the Park series is back this May, offering four weeks of live music and entertainment at Civic Center Park. Every Thursday evening from 7 – 8:30 p.m., the outdoor amphitheater will host an exciting lineup of performers, featuring a mix of classic rock, Motown, country, and pop hits. With free admission and a welcoming community atmosphere, this event is a great way to enjoy a spring evening with family and friends.
The series kicks off on May 7 with Jumping Jack Flash, the premier Rolling Stones Tribute that has been delivering the most authentic Rolling Stones magic for the past 20 years! Jumping Jack Flash captures the authentic spirit of the Stones legaccy with high energy shows you won’t find anywhere else!
On May 14, The Suffragettes Band takes the stage bringing you the best of the pop and rock hits from te 80’s to today. With amazing perfomances featuring the top hits from artists like Whitney Houston, Spice Girls, Adele, and more, this show will have everybody standing on their feet grooving to the music.
Dust off your platform shoes and get ready to groove when The Funky Hippeez Show comes to the stage on May 21. Bringing the heat to heat up the Disco Inferno, they will have you moving to the biggest disco hits of the 70’s and early 80’s. The Funky Hipeez show are constantly innovating so make sure to check them out because you won’t see the same performance twice!
The series concludes on May 28 with a trip down the yellow brick road with the Yellow Brick Band. They collectively create the signature sounds of the great Elton John and offer something truly unique for their fans by creating a live musical experience that must be seen and heard to be believed!
Concertgoers are encouraged to bring blankets or lawn chairs to relax on the grass while enjoying the performances. There will be dining options on-site, offering delicious meals for those who want to grab a bite during the show. Guests are also welcome to bring their own picnic baskets. Alcohol and smoking are not permitted.
