The annual Coachella Valley Wildflower Festival returns in March for a month’s long celebration of spring and renewal promoting wellness, recreation, and the beautiful outdoors.
To ensure a safe and sensational Festival, the event is blossoming into an exotic hybrid of online activities and individualized outdoor challenges designed to raise awareness of the Coachella Valley’s many wildflowers while encouraging people to explore and support the Santa Rosa and San Jacinto Mountains National Monument.
Winter rains set the stage for a colorful wildflower season and an innovative mix of activities will make this year’s Festival even more accessible and fun for everyone.
Festival highlights include Flowers in the Field in which participants can download a Field Guide to Coachella Valley Flowers and see how many blooms they can identify; and a “30 Miles in 30 Days for 30 Dollars” challenge that invites participants to walk, hike, run, ride or roll to help raise funds for Friends of the Desert Mountains while earning a special Wildflower Festival t-shirt. Other planned activities include scavenger hunts, a raffle, and much more.
